Description: This webinar will provide a general understanding of the Cannabis sativa L. plant and how products are generally produced utilizing cannabis raw materials. The presentation will explain why manufacturing controls surrounding cannabis and cannabis-derived products are an integral part of protecting the public health. Will provide attendees with greater knowledge of the many products available on the marketplace, a discussion on potential benefits and risks, ways to report adverse events associated with these products to FDA, as well as suggestions on how to create a safe space to discuss patient use of these products.

  • Identify cannabis and cannabis-derived products on the market that are FDA approved.
  • Describe how products are manufactured and the critical quality controls for cannabis botanical raw materials and products.
  • Discuss ways to address patients' use of cannabis and cannabis-derived products.
